Another successful week for our club teams, with the Foxes (pictured) through to the next round of the Abrey cup after beating Pinner Hill 5½ to 3½, and the Rabbits beating Finchley four games to one - well played all - a great result.

This week was the first of the two Rafferty Cup qualifying medal rounds, with the top eight from each division going through to the knockout stages. Despite the warmer and firmer ground conditions only seven of 71 players managed to hit handicap or better, the overall winner was Leslie Johnson beating Brian McDermott on countback with nett 68.

A great weekend of golf this week. The course is transforming as the sunny conditions continue. Saturday’s qualifier saw some very good scores with eight players of 69 bettering their handicap, the overall winner was Daniel Smyth coming out on top beating Steve Doherty on countback with 42 points and winning Division Two.

This week's first medal competition was keenly contested with 57 entrants on Saturday and seven on Sunday. On Saturday, in Division One Nick Sharpe (14) came in with level par winning on countback from Timothy Waite (10).
