The highlight of the weekend was the Burns Night celebration on Saturday evening. The Ridings Restaurant was full and buzzing, with the piper in full flow, the Haggis marched in to the sound of traditional piped music, which warmed up the whole Clubhouse. Many thanks to John Stolliday for organising the event again which ran like clockwork, Roy and the team for preparing the food, and special mention to Akshay for his parading of the haggis, on what is his last event before leaving Bush Hill Park.
On the golfing front, the Winter League continued with the winners this week:

In the bigger picture, the overall leaders from a total of 162 entrants, after week 17 are: Matthew Breen 213, closely followed by Andrew Garrad and David Hollins on 211. All to play for during the final few weeks.
The Club fixtures and dates for the Rabbits, Rangers, and Foxes sections are posted, so if you’re available for any teams add in your name directly on IG under matches section.
This Friday, 30th, is the first of three winter quiz events. It’s in teams of eight, so if you fancy testing your knowledge please enter a team. There are still a few places available.
Next Sunday, 1st February will be the monthly Captain's Draw - 8am in the main bar for pastries and coffee followed by a team event. The numbers have been great recently, so if you can make it, you're more than welcome. It's a great way to meet and play with members you don’t normally play with in a relaxed format.
