After almost a solid day’s rain the day before, it was delightful to wake on Wednesday to blue skies. The course had clearly needed the rain and there were a few squishy bits but it was good to play even though the bounces weren’t quite so high nor the runs as long as we have enjoyed over the last few weeks!

This Wednesday was the marathon 36-hole Victory Cup medal, coupled with the 18-hole May medal. We had expected rain and possibly thunder and lightning but Bush Hill Park Golf Club was spared. After a little early drizzle, the weather was fine with the sun appearing in the afternoon.

Hmm, the sunny golfing of last week has not lasted and it was back to layers for warmth on a cool and cloudy Wednesday, with some sunshine in the afternoon. Thirty played in the morning medal; and 36 in the afternoon 9-hole competition for teams of four.
