Women's Captain's Blog, 11th December 2025

We did not get to play the Women's Christmas Waltz on Wednesday as the course was closed due to very wet greens and fairways. Never mind, there's always next week.

The Women's Christmas Party was a fun evening with a Quiz prepared by Alison Towndrow, which tested our memories and knowledge.There was a sari tying competition, which was a test of the participants skill and observation.

Forthcoming events

Shirley Fielder's funeral is on Tuesday 16th December followed by a celebration at the Club.

Wednesday 17th is the Women's Texas Scramble - another fun team event. Please add your name for the draw, and weather permitting we will play. We will play only 13 holes stopping at the hut for mulled wine and mince pies. If the course is closed we will have it in the clubhouse.

Our Red Posting Box is now on the dressing table for Christmas cards - for those who do not know, this is where you place your Christmas cards for other women members.
