Women's Captain's Blog, 27th November 2025
It was a beautiful, sunny, and frosty start for our End of Season Alliance. This was a fun competition played in teams of three. Once we were thawed and changed, we had a delicious lunch of salmon en croûte thanks to Roy. Sonia and Sandra very deftly managed to look after 35 women by themselves, which was greatly appreciated.

As it was the Club's 130th year, two additional prizes were awarded for October 2024 to September 2025 - the Two's Prize and the most improved handicaps in each Division.
Alison presented the winner of the Two's Prize to Lisa Martin who scored eight during the year. Cogratulations, Lisa.
For most improved handicap Billie Newland presented prizes to Nikki Chodurek - Division 1, Carol Dodd - Division 2, Gaye Illsley - Division 3, and Sally Minks - Division 4.
Well done winners.
Not all competition winners are generally listed in the Bush Telegraph and I'd like to acknowledge all the winners from the past season, with special congratulations to Nikki Chodurek on winning the prestigious John Shaw Trophy.
Today is the Christmas Fayre and thank you to everyone who has been very generous with gifts, bottles, food items (great response) and collecting vouchers from butchers, restaurants, and stores.I am sure it will be a great success with all your support.
Forthcoming Events
Wednesday is Winter Greensomes where we play in teams of two. Please sign up in pairs as it is a good format.
Thursday 4th December is our Women's Christmas Party and it will be great to see a few more signing up. Always a fun night with entertainment and wine provided by the women's section.
