Firstly, I must offer congratulations to Dave Boss who scored a hole in one last week on the 15th in Winter League 3, and apologies I didn’t mention this achievement in last week’s blog. Well done, Dave.
Another Ace was achieved in Saturday’s Winter League 4, but unfortunately Matt Bowen’s was a provisional ball so no award on that one I'm afraid, but congratulations and hard luck at the same time.
There have been a number of Men’s knockout finals completed over the last week, and congratulations are due to the following and commiserations to the losing finalists:
K Cup winners: Martin Hacker & Steve Doherty defeating Kris Agapiou & Ian Rudd
Playing Fields: Denis O’Shea defeating Jon Copley
Rafferty Cup: Jack Naughton defeating Mike Stainton

2nd) Leslie Johnson 39 points
3rd) Ray Ripsher 36 points
Well played all and great scores to add to the required six cards over winter for the league. We still have members not removing their names from the tee sheet and therefore leaving spaces unfilled on peak times or removing names o late on Fridays that slots are not filled at all. Please be aware of other members looking to play and etiquette around booking to free up as many tee times as possible. Also, don’t be worried about joining other players if there is a space available.
Next week’s November Four Ball Draw has been delayed until Sunday 9th - this month only. There is a Four Ball voucher up for grabs at West Middlesex in addition to the sweep, so I hope to see many players signed in. With the Christmas Fayre arranged for November 27th, Nikki Chodurek will be selling raffle tickets on Saturday after your round, so if you see Nikki around, please be as generous as possible in purchasing tickets.
