As some of you may know Alison is away in Cornwall having a well-deserved break and I am on blog duty this week.
The rain has finally come and slowly everyone withdrew from the Daily Mail Competition on Wednesday. It was disappointing not being able to play as the forecast was pretty grim but most of us felt we had made the right call.
Six ladies braved the weather for the 9-hole Stableford and Clare Laycock was the winner with 20 points. Well done.
Some of us met early for a few rounds of bridge instead and lunch.
Lucy arranged for a few ladies to play a friendly at Enfield Golf Club on Sunday 31st. I understand they had a great time and for some it was the first time at Enfield.
In Alison's last blog, she mentioned a few dates for upcoming competitions. The Iris Sumner on 7th September which is a 4BBB competition.
Wednesday 10th is our President's prize for Women so please sign up.
We hope to get back to golf during the week so just dust the cobwebs from your waterproofs and happy golfing.
Wishing you all a great week on and off the course.
