Starting at 7:45 PM, join us for an evening of laughs, featuring five stand-up acts, including Tom Alban as compere!
THE ACTS
Described as "the comedy equivalent to Thor's hammer piercing the earth's atmosphere," compere Tom Alban has been part of the comedy scene since 2018 and his energy has infected comedy nights around the country week in, week out. His engaging story telling will take you on a journey that you're unlikely to forget.
Opening the act is lawyer-turned-comedian Thenjiwe, who has performed to audiences around the world, is one of the most highly recognised and popular South African stand-up comedians with a combined social media following of over 1.5 million. Starring in many television shows, and with six comedy specials and two popular South African sitcoms that she wrote, produced and starred in, she is the "Queen of African Comedy." Thenjiwe recently did her one-hour show at the Leicester Square Theatre where she got a standing ovation.
Mark Vincent has performed over 350 gigs, with a style that blends storytelling and anecdotes, often veering into dark, absurd, or whimsical territory. He frequently delves into themes such as age-related body image, as well as religion and popular culture.
Hannah Lloyd-Davis is a thirty-two year old quirky woman and comedian, but life hasn’t turned out quite as she hoped; she’s moved back in with her parents, is working as a universally disliked GP receptionist and has a terrible love life! Expect a high-energy performance with one-liners about perpetually making poor life choices when you’re supposed to have it all figured out.
Bringing the act to a close is Steve N. Allen, who stars as a regular member of the news-desk team on Late Night Mash on UKTV/Dave; a show formerly known as The Mash Report. He is an experienced comedian, host, news commentator, and satirist who is at home anywhere on the bill, with a warm and upbeat act that soon connects with any audience. Steve's material ranges from an observational look at life to up to date topical comedy - or shows solely based on the interaction with the crowd.
