Greetings from a very cold and wet Geneva. Saturday’s conditions were again very favourable for winter league week 7, and a special mention for James Chard who carded a fantastic 41 points with a gross 72! Winning Division One, congratulations James, hopefully he took the Squidders pot too! Division Two was won by Eamonn McDonough with very respectable 40 points, both scores will see them climbing up the table for the league.

Danny and I are very much looking forward to playing our Captain and Pro Challenges, which will culminate with which ever pair manages to beat us by the biggest margin, being invited to play a rematch at Royal Cromer Golf Club. Please email Danny or myself and we can book you in.
A bit of a nag, please, as the mornings are darker and evenings drawing in faster, the tee times on a Saturday and Sunday are very sought after, especially the early morning slots. If you book yourself in, please try to stick to your tee time, or take your name out as soon as possible If you know you can't play - that way you are not stopping a fellow member getting a game. It would be much appreciated.
The next fourball draw “the turkey trott” is on December 1st and will be a Texas Scramble. Complimentary tea, coffee, and pastries will be available on arrival. So, try to arrive by 8 AM with the draw taking place at 8:15 AM, these are always a good fun way to get to know fellow members, and the prize for the winning team who’s players enter the sweep will be vouchers for a local butchers TBD.
As we are now underway for the season, a reminder that the 13th is the Captain’s Charity Hazard. If you go into the water then a donation into any of the buckets around the clubhouse will be gratefully received, if like me that does happen a little too often! Then an idea to see you through the year could be a one-off donation via the JustGiving Page of £10.
Happy Golfing.
